He said “Customer demand for our limo hire service throughout Lancashire and Greater Manchester is still growing and we are continuing to add vehicles to the fleet to meet this demand.

As a company we have always tried to grow organically and our reputation is built on the professionalism and customer service skills of our award winning chauffeur team. Good chauffeurs don’t grow on trees, but we can’t grow without more chauffeurs so we have planned a rolling induction training program for the next 12 months which hopefully will allow us to find some real new potential talent out there.”

This means that they cannot legally be operated unless they are being offered under a self drive hire contract. Self drive hire is not regulated in the same way as hire & reward passenger transport so there is no legal requirement for the vehicle to undergo regular safety checks or pass safety laws designed to protect paying passengers in the UK.

Some unscrupulous limo operators are not making this clear when people call to enquire about hiring these larger limos and of course, this can lead to hirers being unclear about their obligations under the hire contract. What is worse is that if police discover that the hirer did not arrange their own driver, the hire can be terminated on the spot and the vehicle impounded thus ruining the party”.
