Jet Set Limousines head chauffeur, Patrick Cuddihy has been shortlisted as a finalist in this years Q.S.I. awards.

Chosen by judges for his outstsanding customer service skills, the chauffeur who works for Jet Set Limo Hire Blackpool said, ” I’m thrilled to know that industry experts have shortlisted me as a potential winner.”

Patrick who also made the final of the 2007 European Chauffeur of the Year Awards (where he was narrowly beaten by another Jet Set Limousines chauffeur, Kate Bethel) has been with the top Blackpool limo hire company for 5 years where he has worked his way up the chauffeur team to become head chauffeur.

Jet Set Limousines have been shortlisted for the finals of the 2008 QSI awards in recognition of outstanding performance in the 3 key factors of quality, service and innovation.

It is the first time that limo hire companies have been shortlisted for the award and JetSet Limo Hire Lancashire are delighted to have reached the finals.

Jet Set Limousines in Lancashire have just announced their intention to purchase yet more vehicles to add to their limo hire fleet .

Already Lancashire’s biggest private hire limo hire company, Jet Set Limousines are adding to their Blackpool limo hire  fleet, the first bus registered limo capable of carrying more than 8 passengers.

Their new Ford 4×4 limo will carry up to 13 passengers. Limo boss Kevin Hinds said “We will be the first company in Blackpool to bring in a limousine which meets UK bus safety standards. This means that we are the only Blackpool limo hire company to be able to offer a chauffeur driven limo for hire that has passed Public Service Vehicle safety tests and that is regularly inspected by VOSA approved engineers. Other companies are now looking to follow our lead but are months behind in the race to be first.”

The additional 13 seater 4×4 limo and yet another Hummer limo reinforces the firm’s status as the biggest limo hire company in Lancashire and underpins Jet Set Limousines recent achievement in being awarded the title of Best European Limo Hire Company of 2007/2008.

The boss of top Lancashire limo hire company, Jet Set Limousines has been elected vice-chairman of the National Limousine & Chauffeur Association.

Kevin Hinds (pictured top left) was  chosen to give the association a new impetus in the drive to improve standards throughout the industry. 

Kevin, who is looking forward to the challenge said “At Jet Set Limousines we have always looked very carefully at all aspects of our service including public and client safety, quality of service, regulatory influences and presenting the right image for our clients, as well as adding extra value to their special events. I and the rest of the association committe will be working with government, the police and VOSA to try and set standards which can apply to all limousine companies.

 In the meantime, rest assured that we at Jet Set will be working even harder to stay ahead of the competition and retain our position as Europe’s leading limo hire company.”

The Vice-Chairman role will last for 12 months, after that “We’ll have to see how it goes” says Kevin.

Europe’s leading limo firm, Blackpool based, Jet Set Limousines have launched a novel xmas party package which is sure to cause a stir this xmas.

Anyone looking to liven up their xmas festivities in Lancashire might want to take advantage of the UK’s first “Santa Cruise” limo party.

Limo boss Kevin Hinds said, “It took a while for us to convince ourselves that there would be a market for this service but interest is huge. Obviously people are looking to have fun at xmas time and we thought that having Santa drive your limo was a novel way of theming a limo party. Our biggest hurdle was traning Santa to drive a limo, but once he got used to it, he found it simpler than the reindeer and sleigh. In fact the service could be soo popular that he might be in contention for next years European chauffeur of the year awards.”

The Santa cruise can be incorporated into any limo hire and for a small additional charge, Santa can present passengers with a gift boxed model limo.

The people of Blackpool once again showed their generosity and the interest in stretched Limousines when we supplied a stretched Hummer Limo to Radio Wave to help them collect the monies raised from the “Bring a pound to work” day which sposored by Jet Set Limousines and The Blackpool Hilton Hotel.

 Over £2,000 was collect during the day with more money promised for later collection.

It was a fund day in the Hummer with some of the Jet Set staff and the Radio Wave team and the Mayor  of Blackpool all helping. Blackpool, October 8th 2007….when a little bit of history was made by a combination of limousine operators, a very generous general public and lots of assistance from the town of Blackpool itself.

Over 120 stretched limousines, stretched Hummer limos,  4X4 limos, a mayoral limousine, a stretched Ferrari and the Terminator travelled a 2 mile course in convoy to break the Guinness World Record for the longest limo convoy ever. In the process a huge some of money was raised for some excellent causes and it seems that the limo industry has found a new spiritual home on the Golden Mile in the party capital of Europe.

Hundreds of people donated generously to charitable causes to take a passenger seat in the limos as they paraded along the promenade and on behalf of the whole orgainising team, I would like to say a big thank you to all who arrived to support this event so generously.

The total length of the convoy is recorded at 1.3 miles although this is yet to be ratified by the Guinness people so we will wait a little while longer before celebrations commence.  We believe that the American limo industry is a little miffed that their record has gone and may attempt a similar event. If so, we may need to do it all again next year, only bigger…..

With less than a week to go until the worlds largest limo convoy ever, volunteer passengers are needed to fill some of the vacant limos thatwill be arriving in Blackpool on Monday October 8th.

You have the opportunity to ride in some of the biggest Hummer limos in the country along with many other fabulous limos including the world record breaking Ferrarri limo. The convoy has attracted media interest and a number of celebrities are also expected to travel with the convoy.

 As part of the organising team, we are appealing for any interested passengers to get in touch by phone (01772) 436676 or via e-mail. A charitable donation of £25 per head is requested from all passengers in favour of the “It’s a knockout appeal” to raise money for the MRI Scanner facility at Blackpool Vioctoria Hospital.

Jet Set Limousines beat off competition from limo hire companies from all over the UK and Europe to win the title of best European Limousine Company 2007.

Event organisers congratulated Jet Set and told them “You have set a very high standard for others to follow”.

Lancashire based Jet Set Limousines won an unprecedented double at the awards ceremony by scooping the Best Chauffeur title as well.  Kate Bethel was awarded the prestigious title after beating off thousands of chauffeurs from all over Europe to claim the top prize. It is the first time any limo company has ever won both awards in the same year and underlines the sheer quality of the Jet Set Limousines organisation. As if to underline their popularity, Jet Set had two chauffeurs in the final which was yet another first for the industry.

Blackpool will be host to the very first Guiness Book of World Records attempt at the largest limousine convoy ever.

The managing director of Jet Set Limousines is part of the organising team for the “Golden Mile of Limousines” convoy which takes place in Blackpool on Monday 8th October. The convoy is expected to commence at 8:15pm from the Odeon Cinema complex in Blackpool where Jet Set will have at least 6 of it’s limos to add to the expected tunrnout of around 200 limousine ffrom all over the UK.

The convoy will also attempt to raise around £30,000 for the Blackpool Mayor’s Charity and is appealing for passengers who would like to take part in this once in a lifetime opportunity to donate £25 a minimum of £25 per head to ride in one of the record breaking limousines.
